I feel like I've been ducking tornados for the last couple of weeks. Roughly two weeks ago up near Mattawa, Ontario when I was up at the lake, there was one. I was left with no phone, no hydro, and no way out...except for the fur kids I was all alone. Now Fergus, 5 miles West of us, where my daughter Sandy lives.

Fergus was declared a state of emergency and many roads closed down, thousands with out hydro.



Here are some pictures my daughter Christine was able to get, however the police are keeping everyone out of all the worst areas.

House damage and buildings destroyed. You can see a crate for a dog and what looks like kennel runs.

The brown round things are actually round hay bales that were thrown into a flattened corn field. They weigh roughly 600 pounds. This just happened after my daughter drove by on the hwy going home. Her friend wasn't so lucky and her car tossed into the field.

Roof totally missing off the house. Actually several houses were destroyed.

Thank goodness no one was seriously hurt..

Where was I during all of this? Delivering puppies and ready to grab her and run to the basement.
